There are many types of cranes, not just large hoisting cranes, but also many other types of cranes.

Currently, there are mainly four types of cranes: light lifting equipment, bridge cranes, gantry cranes, and boom cranes.

1. Light Lifting Equipment

It adopts a special design concept, which is not only small in size and light in weight, but also has a small wheel pressure. Unlike traditional cranes, it has a minimum distance to the wall and a minimum height, thus increasing the working space of the factory. Common light lifting equipment includes electric hoists, hand hoists, etc. Their structure is not only lightweight and compact but also has strong parts interchangeability.

2.Bridge Crane

A bridge crane is a lifting device that operates above the workshop for material handling. It has fixed running tracks on the overhead, running along the tracks, and the middle hook can extend and retract freely, achieving the effect of moving goods up, down, left, and right. Bridge cranes are commonly used in workshops and other indoor areas, generally referred to as "overhead cranes," and are the most widely used and numerous type of lifting machinery. The main types include hook bridge cranes and single girder bridge cranes.

3. Gantry Crane

A gantry crane is derived from a bridge crane, and unlike a bridge crane, it is mainly used for outdoor loading and unloading work. It has characteristics such as high utilization of the working area, large working range, wide adaptability, and strong versatility, making it widely used in places with large spaces like ports. The main types include beam gantry cranes, arm gantry cranes, and tire gantry cranes.

4. Boom Crane

A boom crane is a lifting machine with an extending boom that can rotate around the crane's rotation center.

1. Rotating Boom Crane, as the name suggests, is a crane that is not fixed in one working place and can move, such as truck cranes and tire cranes.

2. Fixed Boom Crane, as the name suggests, is fixed in one position and uses the boom to move goods, such as cantilever cranes, mast cranes, and arm cranes.

These are the main types of cranes. Different scenarios and working environments can choose different cranes to improve work efficiency and completion.
